Sure sounds like you guys had fun. Wish we had been with you. There are some good rocks in the Breaks north of Benjamin. Lots of snakes too. Looks like you got some nice crinoids too. When we see you in Bossier I will tell you where there are some really big ones if you can get in. Enjoyed it......Dee

Hey Francis. I like the website. Karen sent me the link this morning. It's good to hear your going to go back to school. I never thought your field would ever have the luck it's had recently.

Hope all is well. I'm going to be doing some work at Ft Hood in the next

several months. I think that's near where your moving to your parents?? We'll have to get together.

Hey, regarding the last party at Bobbisox. If you haven't already had it. I would love to attend and see all of you guys. Whoever is still left.. Let me know, I'll make the trip..

Write back or I'll have to put in a "Buggy Request Form" Well, you may not remember that joke. One of my ole dock stories told one night, real late just sittin' at "the table" having a drink or two, probably a lot more than two!! You and I must have laughed for an hour or so.

Last but not least, did you ban fireworks and rocket pictures from the site.......

Ye have little faith in the power of the force.

The force of a ½ lb of TNT at your fingertips. Just a strike of a match. And Boom.

You realize that you have no fingers.

That's the stuff memories are made of man..

Remember your roots kiddo.. Just kiddin'.. ha ha

Look forward to hearing from ya.

For our family vacation this summer we were going to Arizona. We changed our minds and will be exploring the Pandhandle (Palo Duro, etc.) in part by being inspired by your site. Why RV all the way to Arizona when we have not yet explored our own great state totally?
Will continue to check into your site regulary.

I found this to , be a very good site for adventures in the lone star state. I am starting to get back into hounding after a long absentice.I am also now a propector of the other fine minerals but I keep an eye out for the rocks of hounds. So, thanks for the tour and happy hunting. P.S. I do know where petrified wood abounds in east texas, and i will contact you on this.

LOVE your site, photos, anecdotes, history  of towns, find it very useful in my tour plannings for senior citizens! (Do you know whether Big Bend area has accommodations for big group, say 55 in a motorcoach? --I've never been there-- is there something to see without long hikes?) I love your website! I live in Georgia and I have seen most of these attractions. I've come across a very strange one in Gainesville. It is a monument with a chicken on top, because Gainesville is supposedly the chicken capital of the world. There is a picture at: http://barchouston.org/photos/Fall2003/Fall2003-Images/54.jpg

I thought that we went to the same bat cave together, but you must have seen some bats that I missed. (THE TWO LEGGED KIND) Next time I will stay closer to you. By the way, Kathy likes her car. Tom

Hey, you got a great site with great Texas info. I especially like your last bat story. We live in the Austin area and have seen the bats at the Congress Bridge and the McNeil Rd. Overpass in Round Rock. The kids loved them and we hope to see more bats in Fredericksburg.
