In Georgia

Georgia Roadside Attractions : We see them everywhere and unfortunately for those who live around one or perhaps several, sometimes take it for granted.  However, for those on the road, it make a nice stop to visit or just to look at to take the monotony out of a long drive.  I started to collect pictures of the roadside attractions during my journeys.  Look for them the next time your on the road again.  Sometimes there is an interesting story behind them.  By the way, since our travels are now going beyond the great state of Texas, click on the links below for other States.

The movie theater of the past presenting the Battle for Atlanta and Civil War museum.

Atlanta, GA – The Coke-a-Cola Museum – Off of Martian Luther King Drive.

Come on in thirsty.   Lots of flavors to choose from.  Plus a lot of great memorabilia to check out.

Atlanta, GA – Stone Mountain – East of Atlanta off of hwy 78, use Exit 8.

Climb up the mountain, come back down and get your certificate.  Also check out the stone carving of the losers of the Civil War.

       A very, very big fish.

Atlanta GA – The Varsity – 61 North Avenue.

I hope you like hot dogs.

Columbus, GA – The Giant Cow Named Kaddie – At the corner of Best Buy next to the shopping mall.

Like I said, a big black and white cow over looking the town below.

Cordele, GA - The Big Rocket Ship - Close to the corner of Hwy 280 and I-75 by a krystal Burger.

Grab a burger and head for the stars.

If your into old-time Telecom gear.

This is a really cool canyon and a must to go hiking down into it.  Cool colors!

Just like I said, its a really big peach.
